Benefits

Membership in AADA offers numerous benefits. Join AADA and you will gain access to the following:

AADA Sponsored Auto Show
The AADA sponsors and manages this annual event in conjunction with the Austin American-Statesman, which is held at the Austin Convention Center. Since its inception the auto show has grown in both square footage and attendance. As it is not a selling show, it provides an ideal opportunity for consumers to compare styling and pricing of virtually every line make under one roof in just a few short hours.

Annual Kickoff Lunch
For the past several years the AADA has featured the University of Texas Athletic Department at its Annual Kickoff Lunch. Highlights include tours of private facilities and inspiring speakers such as Augie Garrido, Mack Brown and Jeff “Maddog” Madden.

TADA & NADA Liaison
AADA acts as a liaison for dealers with city and county elected officials and agencies, and offers to provide information, input and assistance on local issues and ordinances. Through the association, dealers can more effectively learn and comprehend technical data, rulings and guidelines issued by governmental commissions and agencies. The AADA works closely with state and national associations including TADA, NADA and AIADA.

Philanthropic Activities
“Earning by Learning” is a program designed to encourage at-risk 4th grade children to read books. This educational program targets children who need some guidance in discovering all the advantages that books have to offer. The objective of the program is three-fold: 1) to promote literacy among children at an early age; 2) to encourage positive relationships between adult mentors and children; and; 3) to teach children how to manage money (each child receives $1 per book read and successfully reported on to an adult volunteer).

AADA Newsletter
The Exchange is a quarterly newsletter published exclusively for the members of AADA. The newsletter features articles on trends in the industry and business practices.

Job Bank
Additionally the newsletter and website offers dealers an employment service where dealers may post classifieds for employment, and experienced professionals within the industry may post their resumés.

Cooperation With Local Law Enforcement Agencies
In conjunction with the Austin Police Department and other law enforcement authorities, the AADA notifies members immediately of illicit activity affecting auto dealers.

Surveys
The Association’s staff collects and disseminates information regarding compensation levels as well as various holiday closing schedules throughout the year.
